- What is Ilhas Cabo Verde?
- It is a Cabo Verde marketplace for homes for sale, long-term rentals, holiday stays, jobs and local businesses across all ten islands.
- Can foreigners buy property?
- Yes. Freehold is available to non-residents. You will need a NIF, a notary and a registry extract. The relocation guide covers the usual steps.
- Do you take a commission from buyers?
- No. Enquiries on a listing are free. The seller or owner pays only if they choose featured placement on the homepage.
- Is it free to list?
- Yes. A published advert stays in the buy, rent, holiday, jobs or business catalogue at no cost. Review happens before it goes public.
- What does featured placement cost?
- €10 for 30 days in the matching row on the homepage. It is optional. The catalogue listing remains free.
- How do I get a listing approved?
- Sign in, post from your account with real photos (required for homes, rentals, holiday stays and businesses), set the island and drop the map pin, then wait for review. Incomplete text or copied photos are rejected.
- Who receives a message about a property?
- Messages sent from a sale, long-term rent or holiday listing go to the platform team, with the advert title, place and date. Use the form on the listing, not this page, so we know which advert you mean.
- How do holiday calendars stay in sync?
- On a holiday advert you can import iCal links from Airbnb and Booking.com. Those nights show as occupied. You can also export the Ilhas calendar and paste that link into Airbnb and Booking.com so bookings made here block the dates there.
- Can the nightly price change by season?
- Yes. A holiday listing has a price per night, plus up to three seasonal periods (for example low, mid and high). Seasons repeat every year. Other nights use the base nightly price.
- Which islands do you cover?
- All ten: Santo Antão, São Vicente, Santa Luzia, São Nicolau, Sal, Boa Vista, Maio, Santiago, Fogo and Brava.
- Can I list a job or a business, not only property?
- Yes. Jobs and local businesses use the same account and the same review. Businesses need a photo. Jobs do not.
- How do I report a listing?
- Open the advert and use Report. For anything else — press, a partnership, or a problem with your account — use the form on this page.
