Sucupira is the city’s engine. Plateau is the old upper town. Palmarejo and Achada Santo António are where many expats live. Praia is useful: lawyers, notaries, hospital, the international airport.
Honest notes
Treat it as a West African capital. Taxis at night. Do not flash phones in the market. Spend nights in the neighbourhood you might rent, not only in a Plateau hotel.
